The first night of Preliminaries for Miss Ohio will be held Thursday at the Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield. Four of the contestants are local from Ontario, Lauren Beard, Maribeth Tagg, Rachel Gombosch and Madeline Carter. Carter, who is Miss Clayland, actually lives in Berea now for school, but is thrilled to be coming home to compete for the Crown of Miss Ohio. The program gets started at 7:30 pm, as the 20 contestants vie for the 2018 Miss Ohio Crown.
