Commissioners Ask Watershed District Not to Install Basins

The Richland County Commissioners have sent a letter to the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District asking them not to install retention basins or dry dams for its Black Fork plan. RichlandSource.com reports, the plan hopes to reduce the flooding in the city of Shelby. The letter says due to lack of public support the Commissioners feel that installing retention basins would not represent public sentiment.
