Hillsdale Softball to play for State Championship

The Hillsdale Lady Falcons will play for the Division IV State Championship in Softball. Hilldale on Friday afternoon beat Bradford 1-0 at Akron’s Firestone Stadium in the State Final Four. The Lady Falcons scored the winning run on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 8th. Hillsdale Pitcher Sidney Long got the win and struck out 13 batters. Hillsdale’s Haley Cline scored the game winning run.

Hillsdale (26-2) will now play the winner of Defiance Tinora and Strasburg Franklin on Sat at 4 pm in Akron for the State Title. This is Hillsdale's 15th trip to the final four in Softball. The Lady Falcons were runners up in 2016 and last won it all in 2010.
