Shelby school officials will meet soon to figure out its next step, after voters for the 2nd time turned down a bond issue to build a new Pre K through 8th grade building and athletic facility, which would include a football stadium. 58% of Shelby voters said no last fall and 62% turned it down at the polls on Tuesday. Shelby Superintendent Tim Tarvin says Skiles Field, Shelby's football stadium, is slow falling apart and needs replaced. Tarvin told RichlandSource.com that the buildings that house our Pre K through 8th grade and football stadium needs addressed.
