National Day of Prayer in downtown Mansfield will take place on Thursday, May 3rd from 11:30am to 1:00pm. This assembly will be moderated by 90.7 FM WVMC FM General Manager, Scott Saunders and will include the Mansfield Christian choir, IMAGE. Keynote Speaker will be Reverend Doug Abner, one of the key community catalysts that saw his Eastern Kentucky town between 2002-2010 go from painkiller capital of the nation to Manchester: City of Hope. His county's inspirational story is depicted in the transformation documentary "An Appalachian Dawn." This public square assembly will also include faith-based prayer segments led by local leading pastors. Please dress accordingly and bring a chair for this outdoor venue.
