Couple Donates $500,000 Toward New Ashland Fieldhouse

An Ashland couple, who lost their son 47 years ago, has donated $500,000 toward the construction of the new Ashland fieldhouse. RichlandSource.com reports Lloyd and Norma Wygant’s son Keith passed away in his sleep in 1971, right before he was set to graduate from Ashland High School.  Construction of the Keith Wygant Memorial Fieldhouse is set to get under way this fall and should be completed by August of 2019. The project is expected to cost about $3.5 million.

The fieldhouse will have 3 full sized basketball courts, which could also be used for tennis courts and baseball and softball areas to hit. There would be a weight room and 2nd floor for Wrestling and a possible track.
