City of Ashland, Ashland County Join as One Health Department

The City of Ashland and Ashland County has agreed to join together as one health department. RichlandSource.com reports, after about 3 years of considering the idea, Ashland City Council agreed to health services being provided by the Ashland County- City health department. Ashland Mayor Matt Miller says residents across the county will not see any change in their services. Miller says this will save money and see the city of Ashland keep its health Board. The contract will run through the year 2020.
