Memorial Services Tuesday for Mansfield Police Detective

Memorial services are Tuesday afternoon (April 17th, 4 pm) for retired Mansfield Police Detective Brian Kerr, who died last week at the age of 51.  Kerr spent 25 years with the Mansfield Police department and spent time patrolling on his bike through Johns Park.

 RichlandSource.com reports, Kerr, who served in the US Marines and was a Madison graduate, was one of the first bicycle patrol officers. Brian Kerr had his career cut short due to an automobile accident. He also spent time with the K9 unit and SWAT team.  Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 pm – 7 pm at the Wappner Funeral Home on South Diamond Street in Mansfield.
