On Saturday, April 28, the Mansfield Area Y is holding a free community event to inspire more kids to keep their minds and bodies active at the annual YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day®, the Y’s national initiative to improve health and well-being for kids and families. The day-long event features activities such as; obstacle courses, YMCA staff-led sports, healthy snack stations provided by Wayne’s Country Market, and reading by Mansfield- Richland County Public Library. Our goal is to motivate and teach families how to develop and maintain healthy routines at home throughout the summer months.
Y on Wheels brings YMCA programs and services directly to Mansfield and surrounding communities. It's on the road more than 200 days per year delivering by request everything from Zumba® classes, pick up soccer, basketball, baseball games, to nutritional education, all free of charge. Y on Wheels would not be possible without the generous support from WARREN RUPP, A Unit of IDEX CORPORATION.
The Mansfield Area Y Healthy Kids Day takes place at the following locations featuring Y on Wheels:
Ocie Hill Neighborhood Center: 9:30-10:30am
South Park: 11:00am-noon
