Jury Selection Underway in Trial of Accused Serial Killer
Jury selection got underway Monday in the trial for accused serial killer Shawn Grate. RichlandSource.com reports, jury selection will take about 2 weeks, as the opening statements are expected to take place on April 23rd. Several jurors have already been dismissed after saying they can’t be unbiased after hearing the 9-1-1 tapes. Another juror spoke about their hatred for a man they don’t even know.
The 41 year old Grate confessed to killing 5 women and kidnapping another. Grate, if convicted, is possibly looking at the death penalty. Grate, who is being held in the Ashland County Jail, was indicted on 23 felony counts, which include 4 counts of aggravated murder.
