Ashland County Commissioners Create Transportation Improvement District

The Ashland County Commissioners have voted to create a Transportation Improvement District. RichlandSource.com reports that the Commissioners will appoint a 5 member board that will oversee the district. The group will work with city engineers and ODOT to look at projects that could be approved for funding locally. The Ashland County Transportation Improvement District is for improvement projects throughout the county, not just the city of Ashland. Kathy Goon, who is the director with Ashland Area Economic Development, said there are a couple of economic development projects that are depending on road improvement projects being completed.
