Simonson Construction Chosen For Ashland Fieldhouse Project

The Ashland city schools board has approved Simonson Construction to build a multipurpose fieldhouse for the school district. RichlandSource.com reports the total cost of the fieldhouse project is $3.5 million. Already over $1.3 million has been raised from donations. The fieldhouse would have basketball courts, which could also be used for tennis courts and baseball and softball areas to hit. There would be a weight room and 2nd floor for a possible track.

The Ashland city schools board plan to renovate Community stadium this summer. The school board gave the thumbs up for a contract with the Adena Corporation out of Mansfield for $226,410. The improvements will be to the home side of the stadium and be accessible for those with disabilities.
