Wisconsin Authorities Looking For Serial Toilet Clogger

Authorities in Wisconsin are looking for a person who has been clogging the toilet in the women's restroom at Deland Community Center in Sheboygan. Police say the culprit has been flushing a 20-ounce soda bottle down the drain multiple times during the last year and a half. The city has been forced to spend thousands of dollars to repair the clogged toilet. The repairs also result in the toilet being closed to the public. The Sheboygan Police Department posted a plea to residents on Facebook to come forward with any information on the person responsible.

“How does one do this and how many flushes does it take?” a post on the department’s Facebook page read. “Why do this? I do not know, but if you help us find the person, I will tell you. This is very strange… and gross, but that is the reality of life.”

The post also reminded residents not to flush trash and paper towels down the toilet.

Joe Kerlin, the city’s Superintendent of Parks & Forestry, said the toilet was clogged 12 times in 2016 and 14 times in 2017. The toilet clogger has struck three times in 2018, and police are hoping to catch the person before they clog the toilet for the fourth time.
