Mansfield city council this week passed its 2018 budget, which is $127 million. Councilman Cliff Mears told WMAN News that by law the budget must be approved by April 1st. Mears says the 5 year estimates look pretty good for the city and income tax revenue has increased for the 4th year in the row. Mears says that city Finance Director Lynn Steward feels they are in pretty good shape this year. Mansfield had over $5.8 million carry over from 2017 to 2018.
