12 Students Pepper Sprayed in Hallway at Mansfield Senior

Several students were treated on site shortly after noon on Wednesday when someone sprayed pepper spray in a hallway at Mansfield Senior High School.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:15 p.m. About a dozen students were treated at Tyger Care, the Third Street Clinic located on the main floor of Senior High. No students were transported off campus.

Acting Principal Scott Musser implemented a soft lockdown in which students are required to remain where they are while the matter was investigated. The lockdown was lifted about an hour later and the normal class schedule resumed.

Superintendent Brian Garverick notified Senior High parents via a telephone message.

An investigation into the incident continues.
