Ashland County Woman Charged After Son Shoots Sister

An Ashland County woman has been charged with 3rd degree felony child endangering, after she left her two children alone Saturday and her 8 year old son shot his 4 year old sister.27 year old Alyssa Edwards of Hayesville has also been charged with one count of misdemeanor child endangering and is currently in the Ashland County Jail.  The 4 year old girl was shot in the abdomen and taken to University Hospital Samaritan Medical Center in Ashland, then flown by Helicopter to a Cleveland Hospital.  The girl is expected to make a full recovery.
