Former Cleveland Indians Slugger Jim Thome Headed to Cooperstown
Former Cleveland Indians slugger Jim Thome is headed to Cooperstown! MLB announced that Thome, along with Chipper Jones, Trevor Hoffman and Vladimir Guerrero, will be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in July.
Thome hit 612 career homeruns over 22 years, 337 came in an Indians uniform. Thome played for the Tribe from 1991 – 2002 and again in 2011. He was a 5 time all – star and had 1,699 RBI in his career. The last Indian to go into the Baseball Hall of Fame was Bob Lemon in 1976.
