Richland County Foundation Awards almost $18,000 in Grants
The Connections Fund of the Richland County Foundation announced grant awards during its Winter Reception January 19 held at the foundation. The Connections Fund donors approved 12 grants totaling $17,907
Foundation President Brady Groves said, “The Connections Fund is a great way for younger donors to get involved in philanthropy and community leadership.”
The following organizations and programs were funded by Connections.
Altrusa International - Tools for School
Crestview Middle School - Maker Space
First School at Foundations for Living - G.E. D. software
Junior Achievement - Richland County Programs
North Central State College - Women’s Leadership Development Program
Ohio State University at Mansfield - Free Science Saturdays
Ontario High School - Sea Perch Underwater Robotics
Parent Aide - Family Action Nights
Mansfield Area YMCA - School Days Out Program
Mansfield Sherman Elementary - Pedaling for Our Future
Mansfield Spanish Immersion School - Kids Can Code
Stellar Robotics - Program improvements
Since 2005 the Connections Fund has awarded over $106,600 to nonprofit organizations in Richland County. The mission of the Connections Fund of the Richland County Foundation is to foster and retain leaders and professionals in Richland County and to promote a philanthropic identity and involvement in the community.
About the Richland County Foundation
The Richland County Foundation, a not-for-profit 501c3, was established in 1945 as a way for individuals to pool and invest their gifts for the long-term good of Richland County and its residents.
The Foundation helps people in Richland County give back to their community by investing their gifts for charity wisely so that grants can be made to improve the quality of life for all of the county’s citizens. Working together with donors, the Foundation meets important needs today and plans for a strong future.
