14 year old Lexington Student Wins Richland County Spelling Bee

For the 2nd year in a row Lexington student Maggie Sheridan has won the Richland County Spelling Bee. The event took place on Thursday at the Mid –Ohio Education Center and featured 62 contestants from 13 area schools. The 14 year old Sheridan correctly spelled the word “architectural” to bring home the title for the 2nd consecutive year and has a chance to compete in the National Spelling Bee.  Last year, Sheridan was a Regional Champion and finished 23rd nationally.
