Bucyrus Schools Receive Bomb Threat

Bucyrus Schools received a bomb threat via social media on Thursday morning just before 5 a.m. and closed all buildings for the day at 7 am.  Bucyrus Superintendent Kevin Kimmel said “We take threats to the safety and security of our staff and students very seriously”.

Police scoured the buildings in the district and ensured all buildings were safe according to Kimmel.  The Allen County Sheriff brought in their bomb sniffing dogs to search the school building and got help from the Crawford County Sheriff and Bucyrus Police.
