Cleveland Indians Trade Pitcher Shawn Armstrong To Seattle

The Cleveland Indians today announced that the club has acquired $500,000 in international bonus pool money for the 2017-18 period from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for RHP SHAWN ARMSTRONG.

 Armstrong, 27, has been a member of the Indians organization since being selected in the 18th round of the 2011 First-Year Player Draft. The right-hander split the 2017 season between Cleveland and Triple-A Columbus, making 21 relief appearances for the Indians (1-0, 4.38ERA) and 28 for the Clippers (1-1, 3.07ERA).
