Richland County EMA to Receive Mobile Satellite Communications Trailer

The Richland County Emergency Management Agency is set to receive a mobile Satellite communications trailer on Wednesday December 6.

This unit is one of 4 communications trailers which are located strategically within the state of Ohio. This unit will be kept in a ready status and would be deployed and utilized locally and in our region in the event of an emergency which requires additional communications.

Once set up, it would allow emergency responder's on the scene of the incident the ability to utilize a maximum of thirty (30) WI-FI devices simultaneously within a 1000 foot radius of the trailer. The satellite communications trailer will have a direct link to an orbiting satellite.

The Presentation will take place at the Madison Township Fire Department at 10:30AM.
