Deer Gun Season Underway in Ohio

Deer gun season got under way this week in Ohio. Last year the state of Ohio harvested over 182,000 deer and two years ago hunters harvested more than 188,000 white tailed deer.  


Entering this week, already over 67,000 deer have been harvested.  The State of Ohio ranks 5th in the number of hunters and brings in more than $853 million to the state economy.Over 1,000 wild turkeys were harvested in Ohio in 2017, as the season came to a close this past Sunday.
