Robert Marshall Selected Ashland Trooper of the Year
Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Robert Marshall has been selected as the 2017 Trooper of the Year at the Ashland Post.
The selection of Trooper Robert Marshall, age 34, is in recognition of outstanding service during the 2017 calendar year at the Ashland Post. Fellow officers stationed at the Ashland Post, elected Trooper Marshall based on his leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude, and cooperation with supervisors, peers, and the public.
Trooper Marshall is now in contention for the District and State Trooper of the Year Award to be announced at a later date.
Trooper Marshall joined the Highway Patrol in 2006 and was a member of the 146 Academy Class and earned his commission in 2006. Trooper Marshall originally served at the Swanton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol before joining the Ashland Team in 2012.
Trooper Marshall is from Toledo and was a graduate of Roy C. Start High School in 2002. Trooper Marshall also earned the Highway Patrol Health and Physical Fitness award, Safe Driving and Field Training Officer. He continues to maintain those high standards on a daily basis.
Trooper Marshall lives in Richland County and is married to Heidi. Together they have one son, Micah, age 1 1/2.
