The Salvation Army held its Red Kettle Kickoff on Tuesday morning in Mansfield at the Mid- Ohio Conference. Officer Lieutenant Michelle Miller announced this year’s campaign goal of $124,000, which is $4,000 more than last year. Miller says the Red Kettle campaign has been going on for more than 100 years.
This year the Salvation Army will be out ringing bells and collecting money through December 23rd. Former Major League Baseball Umpire Tim Timmons was in Mansfield to speak at the Kickoff, as the theme this year is “Get In The Game”.
