Increase in Fees Could Keep Clear Fork Campgrounds Open

Mansfield Mayor Tim Theaker talked about the future of the Clear Fork campgrounds at a park committee meeting this week.

RichlandSource.com reports Theaker said that an increase in fees of close to $1,500 would allow the city to break even and keep the campgrounds open. This past year, campers paid just over $1,200, but more than $210,000 in repairs are needed to the Clear Fork campgrounds. It was noted that of the 44 campers at the site, only 2 are from Mansfield.
