A Galion women stopped to save a man’s life during a marathon in Columbus earlier this month. RichlandSource.com reports on October 15th, Jessica Wagner saw a man from Illinois collapse during the half marathon race. Wagner works for Ohio Health hospital in Mansfield, stopped and performed CPR until medics arrived on scene. 56 year old Joe Boyd of Elburn, Illinois had suffered a heart attack and later was taken to a Columbus hospital.
Boyd had stints put in and is alive thanks to the quick action of Jessica Wagner, who by the way finished the race after helping Boyd.
