Ontario Police to Buy a Drone

The Ontario Police Department has had conversations about buying a drone. Police Chief Tom Hill told WMAN News that they believe the drone can be used for many things including locating missing people.

The drone would have a fleer camera attached to it and be able to locate people using heat signatures.  The cost of the drone and camera is around $14,000.  The money the department will use for the purchase came from a business that shut down for selling bath salts.  The federal seizure of the money was just over $14,000. Hill said that Ontario Police is looking to purchase a drone as soon as possible.
