The Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging has a renewal levy on next month’s ballot. The Senior Services Levy is a 1 mill renewal and an additional .5 mill over the next 5 years. The cost to an owner of a $100,000 home will be just over $51.00 per year.
RichlandSource.com reports the levy was passed in 2013 and 2008. All of the money is kept local right here in Richland County. Theresa Cook, with Area Agency on Aging, says that this is to help those 60 and older who are not receiving any services through other programs.
