Columbus could be losing its Major League Soccer team. Columbus Crew officials say the owners are preparing to move the team to Austin, Texas after the 2018 season.
Chairman Anthony Precourt released a statement saying that despite their investments and efforts, the "current course" isn't sustainable. He says the team will explore all its options, including a move to Austin. Precourt says a new soccer stadium would be a crucial component to get the club to stay. The Crew is one of the original MLS teams in 1996.
