For the third time this season, Ashland University senior quarterback Travis Tarnowski has earned Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors.
On Monday (Oct. 16) morning, Tarnowski was named the Week 7 GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week, following his five-touchdown-pass performance on Homecoming on Saturday (Oct. 14) afternoon in a 48-0 win over Michigan Tech.
Tarnowski was 19-for-28 for 233 yards and his fourth game with five touchdown tosses as an Eagle. In the victory, he became the first Ashland player to reach both 100 career touchdown passes and 10,000 career passing yards.
Earlier in 2017, Tarnowski earned Week 3 Offensive and Week 4 Special Teams conference laurels. This is his fourth career GLIAC weekly award.
