2 people were seriously injured during a crash Wednesday morning on US 42 near Cedarwood Dr in Lexington. The Highway Patrol says, 49 year old Darcy Scholl Boyd of Lexington, drove left of center and hit the vehicle, driven by 53 year old Elizabeth Clark of Mansfield head on.Elizabeth Clark and her passenger, 14 year old Timothy Clark, were both taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries. Boyd was transported to the hospital with non- life threatening injuries.
Due to the crash, US 42 was closed for about 3 and a half hours. The highway patrol says that everyone was wearing their seat belt and the accident is under investigation
