State Representative Mark Romanchuk has received the Public Service Award from LeadingAge Ohio for performing extraordinary service for the elderly by positively influencing the field of senior care and services.
As chair of the House Finance Subcommittee on Health and Human Services, Romanchuk was an advocate for Ohio’s nursing facilities during his work on the state operating budget passed earlier this year.
“I am humbled and honored to receive this award,” said Rep. Romanchuk. “This recognition reflects the hard work of the members of the House Finance Subcommittee on Health and Human Services. Special thanks goes to Reps. Sarah LaTourette, Michael O’Brien, Robert Sprague and Emilia Sykes for their efforts to address the challenges facing many of our senior citizens, and to LeadingAge Ohio for their years of advocacy and service. It has been my privilege to join them in their critical work and I look forward to continuing to work with them in the future.”
LeadingAge Ohio represents 400 long-term care facilities located in more than 150 Ohio towns and cities.
Rep. Romanchuck represents the 2nd Ohio House District, which encompasses all of Richland County.
