Thursday at the Ashland County Fair (Sept 21st) was a day to remember for 2 of my favorite little girls. Grandchildren, Winnie and Georgia, took part in the traditional races for wee ones in the Entertainment Pavilion. The day's events included the annual "Diaper Derby" Crawling Contest and Toddler Footrace ( for kids under 4). Winnie, who hasn't started walking yet, was ready for her big moment. Mom helped "grease" the track with goldfish crackers, much like Hantzel and Gretel. Even trophy has a crawling baby. How cute! Georgia is a seasoned three year old who runs every where any how! What a nice thing the Ashland Fair does for families. Look for this opportunity next year!
