Cleveland Indians Set American League Record - 21st Straight Win

The Cleveland Indians set an American League record on Wednesday, as the Tribe won their 21st game in a row, 5-3 over Detroit.  The Indians tied the 1935 Chicago Cubs for the 2nd longest winning streak in MLB history.

 Baseball’s longest win streak is 26 by the 1916 New York Giants, but they had a tie along the way. The Cleveland Indians magic number to clinch the AL Central Division is down to 4. Wednesday win gave the Indians their 90th win on the season in front of nearly 30,000 at Progressive Field.
