Miss Ohio Wins Special Award at Miss America Pageant

During the second of 3 preliminary nights for "The 2018 Miss America Competition" in Atlantic City, Miss Minnesota, (left) Brianna Drevlow, was named Thursday night’s preliminary Talent winner for her classical piano performance. Brianna will receive a $2,000 scholarship. Also capturing the spotlight was Miss Louisiana, (right) Laryssa Bonacquisti, who was the preliminary swimsuit (Lifestyle and Fitness) winner. Laryssa will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
Miss Ohio, Sarah Clapper, took part in the Thursday Night swimsuit and evening gown competitions. Clapper had her name called, much to the delight of the Ohio delegation in Boardwalk Hall, as the winner of the Women in Business Award. This special recognition comes with a $5,000 scholarship. Sarah will present her Talent on Friday (September 8) evening. She will play "Whitewater Chopstix" on the piano.
