Child Injured during Accident: Highway Patrol Investigating

The State Highway Patrol is investigating an incident that took place in the village of West Salem, where a child was injured during an accident. 

 The driver of the car took off after hitting an Amish buggy on Ohio 539. The buggy was hauling 5 people and went off the road and into a ditch. The car was believed to be a 2001 Honda that was champagne in color and had damage from the accident. The child was taken to Akron Children’s Hospital with serious injuries. Anyone with information is asked to call the Highway Patrol.
