The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle crash early Friday, on Adario North Rd. near Olivesburg-Fitchville Rd. in Butler Twp. The crash occurred at approximately 2am.
A white Chevrolet 1500 Pick up truck occupied by Nathan Cayten age 22 and Matthew Pickworth age 21 both of Shiloh Ohio traveled off the right side of the road striking the ditch. The vehicle then re-entered the road and overturned before traveling off the left side of the roadway. Cayten was ejected and died as a result of his injuries. Pickworth was transported to Ashland Samaritan hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
The crash is still under investigation at this time and alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor. Neither occupant were wearing a seatbelt. It is unknown at this time which occupant was the driver at the time of the crash.
