Former AU pole vaulter Nageotte clears 4.72 meters: 5th all-time in US

Former Ashland University pole vaulter Katie Nageotte on Tuesday in Gothenburg, Sweden, cleared a personal-best vault of 4.72 meters. That mark puts Nageotte fifth all-time in United States outdoor history and seventh all-time in the U.S., indoors or outdoors, among women's pole vaulters.

As an Eagle, Nageotte won two NCAA Division II national championships in the pole vault in 2013 – one indoors and one outdoors. She was a three-time All-American at Ashland after transferring from Division I Dayton.
