Two preliminary winners were named to conclude the Thursday night Miss Ohio competition in Mansfield. First year contestant, Caroline Grace Williams, Miss Oxford, sang an Operatic selection, on her way to the talent award. Williams is originally from Nashville, TN. She moved to Ohio permanently after graduating from Miami University.
The Swimsuit Award went to Miss Clayland, Sarah Clapper. Clapper, of Louisville, Ohio has advanced to the Miss Ohio pageant 5 times. This was the third time she won a swimsuit preliminary award. Clapper would like to be Miss Ohio so she can build the program back up.
Both Preliminary winners are 22 years old and receive a $500 scholarship.
The second night of preliminaries is Friday, June 16th, with the finals on Saturday, June 17th, at the Renaissance Theater.
