Richland County Commissioner looking to cut $2 million from budget
Richland County Commissioner Marilyn John told WMAN News on Wednesday that the Commissioners are looking to cut around $2 million from this year’s budget.
John says that the 2017 budget was around $31 million and the commissioners will meet again on Thursday to discuss what cuts can be made. John says that the county still has $800,000 in health insurance claims after switching policies. John also said they still are waiting for the state budget to be passed to know where they stand financially.
