The Mansfield Police arrested two individuals, believed responsible for shooting incidents within the city. On Saturday April 8th, Mychael Martin, 26, was arrested in Pensacola, Florida by members of the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Task Force on a “Felonious Assault” warrant out of this agency. Martin was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. He is a suspect in a shooting a few weeks ago in which the victim was shot several times.
In a separate incident on Wednesday April 12th, Lamont Lindsay, 19, was located at a Red Roof Inn in Elyria, Ohio and taken into custody without incident by members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF). Mr. Lindsay was wanted on three (3) warrants, including two (2) “Felonious Assault” warrants out of this agency in reference to the recent shootings that took place on Tuesday April 11th, in which one victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds
