Mansfield Residents Charged with Drug Trafficking in Erie County

Erie County authorities say two Mansfield residents are facing drug charges after a traffic stop on US Route 250. Perkins police say a substance found in the vehicle the suspects were traveling in is suspected to be a mixture, possibly laced with fentanyl, that has led to a number of drug overdoses. It is being tested through the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation. 35 year old Rona Cole and 34 year old Amir McCoy are being charged with felony drug abuse and drug trafficking. Police said a drug-detecting K-9 dog alerted on the vehicle leading to the arrests
