Shelby School board reinstates teacher following investigation

The Shelby School board on Monday reinstated elementary teacher Bob DeLauder, after he was out on paid leaving since the middle of February.

DeLauder was cleared by the school board to resume his teaching duties, following an investigation over an incident with DeLauder and a 3rd grader at Dowds Elementary.

RichlandSource.com reports that after an investigation by Shelby Police and Children Services, it was recommended by Superintendent Tim Tarvin that DeLauder be reinstated.
