Demolition underway on vacant building near 5-way light

Demolition began Thursday morning on a vacant building near the 5-way light in Mansfield.

The eye sore has sat empty for years at 220 Park Avenue West. Mansfield Mayor Tim Theaker announced before the back hoe began the tear down, that the city was able to clean up the property using money from the city’s PRIDE tax. 

The right westbound lane is blocked off while work is being done, which will probably take about a week.
