Mansfield City Council expects $1.6 million surplus heading into 2018
Mansfield City Council’s 2017 budget includes 4 new police cruisers and a HVAC replacement at the city building. The city expects to be in pretty good shape heading into 2018, as Council expected to have about $1.6 million left over in its savings account fund.
However, if current trends continue, it’s possible that number could go up. This is due to the city not spending as much as anticipated in the budget over the last 4 years, since the city was removed from financial Emergency in 2014.
