Ontario 2nd school district in Richland County to post spending online

Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel has announced that the Ontario Local School District is now available on OhioCheckBook.com. 

Ontario is the 2nd school district in Richland County to post their spending online.  Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel said “I believe the people of Richland County have a right to know how their tax money is spent.

Over the last 4 years, the Ontario Local School District has made over 52,000 transactions, which shows more than $86 million in spending.

Nearly 2 years ago, Mandel sent a letter to over 18,000 school and government officials, asking them to post their spending on OhioCheckBook.com at no cost to them.
