Mansfield Planning Commission gives Thumbs up for New Women's VOA Facility

The Mansfield City Planning Commission gave the thumbs up for a new Volunteers of America Women's reentry facility to be built on North Main St.

The Planning Commission approved a conditional permit for the site, which will be 4,200 square feet,  to be built near the Men's reentry facility at 921 North Main St in Mansfield.

RichlandSource.com reports that the new facility will have 35 beds and is similar to a dorm. Construction will take roughly 6 months to complete. The VOA reentry facility helps those formerly in prison and those who are eligible for early release.
