Shelby to host Professional Photographers Conference: $75,000 Boost to Local Economy
Roughly $75,000 will be going into the local economy this weekend that wasn't planned. RichlandSource.com reports that the "Professional Photographers of Ohio Conference was double booked down in Columbus and has decided to host the March 10th - 12th event in Shelby at the Kehoe Center.The Conference is called Photo Blast 2017 and will bring close to 300 people into the county this weekend.
Kim Miers with Destination Richland says it's great for the local economy because the visitors will be staying in hotels, along with shopping and eating. One of the Professional Photographers of Ohio board members said that Shelby is actually a better location for the Conference because it's centrally located for it's members across the state.
