Mansfield Residents Pets attacked by Pit Bulls: Voice Concerns to City Council

Pit bulls were a topic of conversation at Mansfield City Council's meeting on Tuesday night. RichlandSource.com reports two city residents spoke about how their dogs were attacked by vicious pit bulls and later had to be put down due to their injuries.

Pit bulls are banned in the city of Mansfield and Law Director John Spon has spoken out in the past about the concern. One woman said, Mansfield has a pit bull epidemic. The woman said she moved to town in 2001 and someone knocked on her door for proof of a license for her dogs.  She said that has not happened since. City Council President Phil Scott says, they just don't have the man power to do it.
